The monument is also referred to as the ‘Thousand Pillar Temple’ built by the Kakatiya Dynasty in the 12th century AD. The temple complex houses several lingams, 3 shrines dedicated to the Hindu deities Surya, Shiva and Vishnu and is surrounded by a picturesque garden. Although it was desecrated by the Tughlaqs, it was restored by the efforts of the state government
